Card 2: MFT Colour Challenge 100

Card 2: MFT Colour Challenge 100

I've decided that the weekends are when I will be using my time to make cards as I have lots going on with my quilt designing over on my other blog UpStairs HobbyRoom and I haven't asked my readers yet if they are interested in seeing my cards. So for now I am keeping my two creative worlds separate.

I was so excited when I finally finished my first card that I wanted to keep the ball rolling and when I sat down to start I remembered reading about MFT Challenges, so I headed over to their blog. The first post I read was about the weekly colour I figured, why not!

So here is my second card...being as I am just starting my supplies are not extensive, but I did manage to find paper similar to the 4 challenge colours...

It took me a moment to decide on which stamps and dies I wanted to use, but once I did the card took shape very quickly....I have to say that my second card went so much easier than my first, lol! Hours instead of days...😂

I used MFT Perk Up, Coffee Cup and Gift Card Pocket stamps and dies and MFT Chocolate Chip mini cube dye ink

I added some clear Liquid Glass to the heart on the pocket to give it dimension and shine and loved it so much I added it to the hearts on the front of the card too.

I embossed the coffee steam using VersaMark ink and clear embossing powder...can you see the little flecks of silver? Yet another learning curve, my powders mixed together, oops...          ...but, I kinda like it!

Can't wait for the next challenge!!

Have a fun week!!

Happy Crafting
