Blog Hop: It's My Day on the Fussy Cutters Club Book Review & Give Away
Finally!!!! I have been so excited about being a part of this blog hop book review....and finally my day is here to share....
Have you been following along? I know I have enjoyed reading all the other blogger's post and agreeing with their reviews...every one of them loved the book as much as I do!
I want to say thanks to CT Publishing for the E-copy of Fussy Cutters Club to review, and a very grateful Thank You to Angie for mailing me an actual hardcopy of her book!! There is nothing better than a real book to hold and turn the pages... and to have out on you coffee table for inspiration....❤️❤️❤️
I could go on and on about all the things I loved in this book, but the main thing for me being new to fussy cutting was how much clear info and tips Angie added, for a newbie this was very exciting! The projects being amazing and the wonderful photos and fabric inspirations were all icing on the cake!!
It's funny how things work out in life, I call them God moments... Like I said, I really had not done any fussy cutting projects, but I love a challenge and learning something new. So when I was asked to be a part of the book launch of course I said yes! Since saying yes and starting my project from the book it seems like everything I've started has some fussy cutting aspects. Now armed with all these new tools and tips, I feel ready to tackle any and all fussy cutting that comes my way!! 😉
....And there are a number of projects from Angie's book I still want to make...
There are more, 14 projects in all, but I'll let you discover them for yourself!!
What I will share with you is the project I chose to make....
If you follow me on IG (@upstairshobbyroom) you would have seen most of the blocks as I was making them....did I ever have fun rediscovering my stash and choosing prints for this quilt.
I did take artistic license on finishing though....
It was a gorgeous fall day, but between the bright sun and wind, capturing a good shot of my Inception Squared quilt was very difficult.
Incase you are curious, or like the idea of adding the extra strips and borders.....
I added 1.5", 2.5" and 3.5" (unfinished strips within the quilt) and 3.5" top and bottom borders with 4.5" side borders (again unfinished measurements) and the digital pantograph is called Ginger Flower.
I hope you enjoyed looking at some of the project from the book and my version of Angie's Inception Squared quilt....
If you haven't figured out by now that I totally call this book a buy.....
Buy This Book!!! 😉
or maybe you can get lucky and win a copy!! Good Luck everyone!! You're going to love it!!
