Here's To Slow Summer Fun...and Getting Caught Up!!
I keep thinking that I'm going to get caught up, but I'm having too much slow summer fun, lol! Is that even a thing? I'm really not doing much of anything...other than relaxing, a bit of colouring, and trying to fix my aching shoulder! Yes, that pesky problem is still looming! Oh, I did design a few new kid quilts that I'm starting to work on! One is with a new line coming from P&B Textiles which is "Super" cute. The other design has been in the back of my mind to do but got pushed to the forefront when my son asked about a quilt for a friend who just had a baby. I'll share more about these in a post real soon!
For now I realized I need to get caught up on all the events that happened during the blog switch...I stopped posting when the designer did the initial switch, because I knew I would have to manually transfer every post after that .....So now I am way behind and need to make a list of all the projects I need to get caught up on sharing!! Please be patient I will get there, eventually...
How are you finding the new blog format? Do you find it easier to navigate on smart devices? And are you finding your way around the drop menus? I would love to hear your feed back, especially if there are any things that you find a negative, it might be a simple tweak. So please let me know.
I can't believe it, but I am 15/23 quilt tops quilted (hand sewing a binding right now, so 14 totally finished) !!Which means I have only 8 more of the quilt tops I started this "Year of the Finish" left to go!! I am so excited to see these tops finally being turned into actual useable quilts, it makes me so happy!! Some of them have even found new homes and some will find new homes at Christmas! The only negative is it's put a lot of the things I wanted to do this year on hold, but I'm so glad I committed to it!!
Saying that I do miss all the sharing of tutorials, tips, new quilt designs and the BOM/QAL I had wanted to do this summer.....so here's to getting back to some fun projects!! Let's start with a freebie quilt design for you!!!
I was asked by Red Rooster to come up with a quilt design to go with their Country Days fabric line and I realized I have completely forgot to share it with all of you!! It's a very simple quilt that I think pairs so sweetly with this ever so lovely line of fabric. Being a farm girl, I fell in love with this line!! I hope you like it too! You can get the free download over on my Craftsy Pattern page. Can't wait to see yours! Ask your LQS about the fabric line, and please tag me in on IG using #SimpleCountryDaysQuilt @upstairshobbyroom if you share or come back on the 9th of any month to share on the Lets' S.E.W. Link Up!!
