My Happy Place Row Along....Show and Tell...with 2 Giveaways...
It’s hard to believe but the Happy Place Row Along has come to an end
and it’s time for Show and Tell…
I hope you were able to find a few or many rows that spoke to you and your own happy places.
I know for me I found at least 6…I didn’t use all of them this time but I am planning on a table runner and wall hanging in the near future with some of the ones I didn’t add to this quilt project.
I love that the rows I chose to use really spoke to me and complimented my own Happy Place Row, which reminds me, I just wanted to let you know that my row is still available for free in my Pattern Shop here on my blog for another week. Just click on the 3 line drop down menu in the top left corner and you will find the shop link there. After that the pattern will be available for purchase.
I knew when I saw Phoebe Moons pattern I had to give it a try…not only was it a garden, floral themed row, but it had dimensional piecing. Something I’ve never tried before….how cute are those pinwheels!!
I felt the same way when I saw Cynthia’s pattern I had to make it, but for different reasons. I could see options and being as I love the fall I knew right away I was going to make my trees with fall foliage…and I love the way the trees turned out.
At this point in the building of my quilt I decided to use a pattern I’ve had in my stash for a few years and knew would be a perfect addition to this project…..My ABCs from Diane of From Blank Pages…..these letters come together so quickly and come on how awesome are they. Love the thick font.
I had so much fun I couldn’t wait to use the pattern again so I added an A to my granddaughters dolly quilt I made for her upcoming 2nd birthday.
Then I bought the add on pattern of Numbers and Punctuation and made my mom a pillow to celebrate her 75th birthday…I tweaked the pattern a bit to add more fabrics…
The quilt couldn’t have turned out more perfectly…though I did run into an issue…the quilt is long enough but too narrow….
So I went back to look at the rows again and as it turned out on the last day Pamela Quilts shared her row Under The Stars and I knew what I should do…..I love stars, I love a starry night sky and I love stars blocks…and her row could be used vertically!! Win Win…so now I am making 4. I have one made and will need to make 3 more…so spoiler alert….my quilt is a work in progress…
I also know there will be some room in these side panels i’m making because the two rows will not be as long as my centre, so I am thinking I will add the year with Diane’s ABCs Numbers and maybe something else…but that will all come together as I am working it all out….You’ll have to check back to see the finished quilt….
Here’s the list of the rest of the participating designers ….don’t forget to check them all out, you will not only find inspiration for finishing your project but there are more giveaways happening….
