I'm late to the party as usual...I always drag my feet and say that I need to get all my WIPs and UFOs done and caught up before starting anymore new projects, but I should know myself better by now...I caved, lol, and bought the Minikins bundle.... but they were on sale!!! (sale is still on too)
There are 12 patterns/videos in the bundle and Sara has started a Minikins Challenge for this year....each month Sara will be choosing one of the patterns as the months challenge, and offering a $100.00 Gift Certificate at Sew Sweetness for a randomly drawn sewing entrant. Linking up a picture of your finished project for that challenge within that months blog post and you are entered.
I missed the January challenge....but I'll catch up and make that one next...the link up remains open to share your project even after the months winner is drawn.
February challenge was the Cotton Candy Pouch...
Not my best sewing...I struggled with the zipper install and I'm sick, still. 3 weeks in with this annoying cold that just won't let go of me...but it felt so good to create something...and being as it's for me...I'll ignore all the flaws I see and concentrate on the lovely shaped pouch, in the oh so cute fabric, Cheri, designed by Frances Newcombe.
This was the first time I used foam in a pouch and I have to say, I really like the structure it gives, and I was able to use up some scrap pieces I had from a purse I made...win win!! I may need to buy another bolt of foam, because I see myself using it a lot more....
Enjoy your week everyone....I'm heading over to see all the lovely pouches everyone else has made and posted!!
