Summer Time Crazy...Not Much Sewing but a Lovely Wedding!!
So as some of you will know if you have been following my Instagram account (@upstairshobbyroom) my son Shawn, our middle was married on the 21st of July...
It has been a bit busy getting everything ready for the outdoor reception that happened here on the farm, lots of gardening, lawn maintenance, etc. The Wedding was also outdoors, at the brides family home, so all families were super busy with prep leading up to the special day.
As you can well imagine it was also a little stressful leading being under rain warnings for all the days leading up to the wedding and the wedding day itself. Not something you can control, but you still can't help checking.....everyday, lol
I'm happy to say that although we did get some rain, much needed, it came after the rehearsal was winding down and after the last guests were getting into their taxi to go home the day of the wedding. It was an amazing, beautiful and basically relaxing day... other than a few hiccups....it couldn't have been a more enjoyable day.....It was a bit overcast which makes pictures easier...there was a breeze and the temp. sat around 24/25 degrees C. Not to mention the country casual wedding is in my books the best wedding I have ever attended....it suits my personality and obviously the bride and groom too, lol! (which is most important)
So I will get back to my normal posts now that life will get back to normal, but I thought you might enjoy seeing a few of the pictures, taken by family, of life on the farm...or maybe this post should be... love on the farm....enjoy!
First picture is Ava (granddaughter 21 months) in her little cowboy boots, lacy dress and denim vest...she was the flower girl (oh so sweet)
