Health Update...and Pretty Quilty Eye Candy
It has been a bit of a rough go over the last 6 months for me as most of you will know who follow my blog or IG account. I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins B Cell Follicular Lymphoma in December of last year, and started Chemo treatments in January 2019. My last round of chemo was this past June 3rd and 4th. Since then I have had very low RBC, WBC along with some other low counts and some HI counts that indicate mild decreased kidney, liver and potentially other decreased organ function. My low WBC signify that I have Neutropenia, which puts me at risk for infections (so I have been hanging out at home) and trying to stay away from public places to decrease my chances of getting sick.
Although I still have to continue to do blood work and I had a CT Scan on the 18th of June….
I’ve been waiting for the results….and finally called the Dr’s office…
I heard back today….and I wanted to share them with all of you….
I was told the CT Scan shows a TOTAL REMISSION
I’m rejoicing over here, praising God and doing a happy dance!😃
I want to say my journey is not over my body is still in recovery mode I will see the Dr again the end of August, but today is all about rejoicing and thanking God for the rainbow that has just broke out after my storm!!
I also want to thank all of your again for your continued prayers, happy thoughts, love, encouragement and support…it has meant so much to me and has helped me more than you will ever know. Thank You All!!
For those of you who are curious…..The blocks are all paper pieced patterns from Kristy @quietplay (IG)
They are part of her Shades of Scotland Souvenir quilt. Kristy took the blocks with her on her resent trip to Scotland. If you want to see the remaining blocks (there are 16 altogether) and some gorgeous pictures of Scotland check out here IG account.
That’s all from me for now! Enjoy your summer and happy sewing!!
